I found a thing I don't know if it's intentional.
INTERESTING!
Great concept, though the result of rotation is sometimes a little unclear.
I've included Safe Space Passage in a compilation of games from the Ludum Dare 54 game jam @ 1:07:43
SPOILER: I got the T-Shape box stuck around a moving platform. :( Oh well. Very good experience otherwise, for something based around intentional awkwardness.
Really interesting mechanic, now that you brought Tetris to the platforming realm, I guess the only thing left is to bring platforming to Tetris ;)
For real though, not only is the game incredibly inventive, but a lot of depth is explored through the level design, without making the mechanic feel like a throw-away gimmick. The mood is also really on point, so I would legitimately wouldn't mind a full fledged release. Even if what is here mechanically is already enough to sell the idea, there is always room for more I think!
Excellent work! I could complete all levels but the last one. Can you help me how to get momentum on the bounce pad?
Hi! Thank you for playing! The bounce pads are a bit different than you might be used to; the higher you fall from, the more height you get! In this case, you'd want to be in a vertical L position in the top left gap, dash to the right (to avoid the hands), then use your double jump / airjump right as your dash finishes. You then get the highest potential bounce from the spring which allows you to rotate onto the ledge top right. I hope that helps! Gl! :D
Hey congrats the game is really great ! You did an incredible job at level design, and narration is cohérent. Had a great time even if I didn't manage complete the T level.
The game have some potential for a longger game !
